For new chef/owner Peter Thrasher, this is the culmination of 20 years of traveling the Mediterranean lands,
learning cooking techniques and collecting recipes. The food is simple, yet sophisticated, with exotic spice and
herb mixtures. Dishes from southern France and Italy are complimented with Greek fish and lamb dishes,
Turkish meatballs and grilled kebabs, Middle-Eastern vegetables, salads and dips, and savory North African
stews like the Moroccan tagine, baked in a traditional clay pot. And of course, Babe’s is still doing what’s made
it famous for over fifty years: its breakfast and bakery, featuring fresh, homemade traditional French pastries. |
